Leading the Energy Transition

We have been doing this since 2012, innovating and developing applications for the technologies of production, storage, and use of green hydrogen as a key energy carrier for the energy transition.
Our History
The design of the first Italian center for the production and storage of green hydrogen begins, named the Institute for Technological Innovations (IIT).
The Bolzano Hydrogen Center is inaugurated, and green hydrogen production for cars and buses begins. The HyFIVE project begins.
Thanks to IIT Hydrogen (then known as the Institute for Technological Innovations), 1,000,000 kilometers are driven with zero emissions.
The LIFEalps project begins, led by the local transport company SASA in partnership with IIT Hydrogen (formerly the Institute for Technological Innovations), which initiated and later managed the project.
For the first time in Italy, a hydrogen-powered transport truck is refueled.
At the Bolzano Hydrogen Center, today IIT Hydrogen, various fuel cell vehicle prototypes are tested.
The Institute for Technological Innovations changes its name and becomes IIT Hydrogen Srl.
