Revamping of the IIT Hydrogen Production, Storage, and Distribution Plant in Bolzano
As part of efforts to decarbonize mobility, Autostrada del Brennero, one of the major stakeholders of IIT Hydrogen, is investing in boosting hydrogen production to supply refueling stations along the Brenner corridor. The made-in-Bolzano hydrogen from IIT Hydrogen will enable zero-emission operations. The [AT1] production plant’s capacity will increase from 1 MW to 8 MW and will feature trailer loading ramps with a fast-filling system, upgraded compression and storage facilities, and additional dispensers within the existing refueling station. These enhancements will support refueling for buses (350 bar), passenger vehicles (700 bar LF), and trucks (700 bar HF).
