The partners of the European EMPOWER project met at NOI Techpark in Bolzano to take stock of the progress made in research, development and testing of technologies that will help make heavy-duty transport more sustainable and efficient.
The meeting provided an important opportunity for discussion amongst the project partners, who are collaborating on the development of innovative solutions for electric and fuel-cell heavy-duty vehicles. During the meeting, the results of the work carried out over recent months were presented, with a particular focus on the testing and validation of the various technologies developed within the project.
EMPOWER (Eco-operated, Modular, highly efficient, and flexible multi-POWERtrain) is continuing its journey towards the development of advanced propulsion systems for regional and long-haul transport, with the aim of accelerating the transition to zero-emission mobility in the heavy commercial vehicle sector.
During the working sessions, the partners discussed the progress of the experimental activities, analysing the performance of the solutions tested and sharing the results obtained across the various areas of the project. The discussions also enabled the identification of the next stages of development and the activities required to bring the technologies to an increasingly advanced level of maturity.
The meeting in Bolzano once again confirmed the value of collaboration between research, industry and European institutions. Through the joint efforts of the partners, EMPOWER continues to contribute to the development of concrete solutions for the decarbonisation of heavy goods transport, promoting the adoption of innovative technologies capable of addressing the environmental and industrial challenges of the future.
